I have been a care giver for many years but this year is special because I received my Home Health Aid certification. I really love being a home health aid, it is a meaningful and fulfilling job! I appreciate learning new things which is why I know how to check insulin levels, administer insulin shots and perform wound care, since these skills aren't in a home health aides scope of practice. I always continue my education because we never stop learning new things! :)

I am an energetic, reliable and compassionate registered nurse who is devoted to caring for others. I have 6 years of nursing experience; 4 years as a LPN and 2 years as a RN. I acquired my experience in a fast-paced hospital setting on a medical surgical floor and I am now avid in shifting my nursing practice to a private duty care giver. My interest in nursing began as a young girl after a personal family experience with a close loved one. Through my high school years, I was given the opportunity to explore the health care field more in depth by shadowing various jobs. I found nursing to be the most appealing because of its diversity and constant advances in medical trends that give plenty of opportunities to build a strong foundation of nursing skills and wide range of experiences. Through dedication and the use of medical advances, my medical expertise and skill sets, I work diligently to provide safe compassionate quality care. I have a strong passion for caring for others and take pride in what I do. I enjoy building trusting relationships with clients and their families and believe communication is the key ingredient. Other traits and experiences include: * Establishes short and long term goals with clients and families. * Proficient in assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation. * 6 years of experience in geriatrics, cardiac and comfort/palliative care. * Well organized and team player with collaborative health care team members. * Ambition to learn new medical advances and experience new things. My current availability would be Monday through Friday after 4:30pm. 1 day a week twice a month I am committed to working a short shift from 8-9:30pm, but I do have a month in advance notice. Thank you for taking the time and your consideration in reviewing my profile. I would be happy to answer any questions or provide any additional information needed. Thank you!
I became a caregiver because I believe that everyone should feel loved and well taken care of in the end stages of life. This type of care requires a person with compassion and respect which I have been told by residents and family members I have an abundance of. I will care for your loved ones as I care for all people, I care with love and kindness.

-I'm dependable, conscientious, and a caring person who pays attention to detail and will comply with all aspects of the responsibilities that come with the job. -I cared for my own mother while she endured cancer until the end. -I enjoy caring for others in need and will do what I can to make their daily life easier. - Showing up for clients when no one else was available and being requested by a client to work instead of another caregiver.
I believe what truly makes me great at being a caregiver is that I simply love people.i am very respectful and polite. I have patience when most don't. I love this type of work because it really gives me joy to make others happy and to put a smile on someone's face. I like paying it forward I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. My biggest achievement that I'm proud of is joining a domestic violence group and helping other people like me see that there is help out there and that abuse is never ok
I have been caring for people for many many years . It all started when my great grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and then my grandmother as well i took care of both of them growing up so it put me in that direction to care for and help others in need of help at home or a nursing facility . It is of great honor to make others smile knowing they are truly cared for and well taken care of by a person like myself . I first started as a home health aid then to move on to get my certification to work in nursing homes in which i have both certificates . My goal is to hopefully finish school and become a registered nurse . Rest assured your loved one will get the best care possible that i can provide .
My experience and passion for caring for seniors comes from my own personal experience caring for my disabled mother for over 6 years along with my professional experience as a certified Patient Care Assistant. My mother had MS and was unable to live alone after my father passed away. I had the privilege of being able to provide the care she needed to be able to live at home and still have her independence. I provided transportation to appointments, took her shopping, did errands, cleaned the house, provided delicious home cooked meals, helped her with personal care and provided love and companionship. I felt blessed to be able to care for my mother, but became aware of the lack of services available at the time for other families who were not able to have a family member care for them. It's a cause that I am passionate about. I have recently went a step further and obtained my NYS PCA certification. I am working currently in the field but would love to supplement my hours. I was recently awarded "Employee of the quarter" with my agency for consistently going above and beyond. As a side note I also wanted to mention the fact that I am a great cook, very dependable, patient and nurturing. I would love to take both my personal and professional experience and use it to help other seniors maintain their independence. Rest assured that your loved one will be treated with the dignity, compassion and respect that they deserve.
