I have worked for my current employer for 21 years, assisting individuals with a diagnosed mental illness, in both an inpatient, hospital setting and an outpatient residential setting. I enjoy working with the individuals we serve, assisting with activities of daily living as needed, case management services, medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and scheduling and transporting to appointments. My husband is retired from the US Air Force, and recently from the NY State Troopers. We are looking to relocate to the Goose Creek are in South Carolina. I am looking to continue working in a care giver position, as this has been my passion for many years. I enjoy helping individuals live to the best of their abilities, and providing the care and assistance to achieve this.

Hi, my name is Danielle Dickison and I am a certified nurses aide, certified home health aide, and licensed practical nurse. I am certified in basic life support, CPR and AED, and first aid. Positive attributes to my personality that allow me to be a great caregiver are that I have a very big heart and I'm very caring. I treat all of my clients and residents as family. I am also cery dedicated to my work with a great worth ethic. The reason I chose to become a caregiver is because I have a family history of nurses, caregivers, and CNAs, and because I have always been drawn to caring for those who are no longer able to care for themselves independently. I feel as though as people who need help with activities of daily living, they deserve to have caregivers who genuinely care and value their career and the health, safety, and emotional and physical well-being. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people, and feeling like I am making a difference in other people's lives. I also love knowing that my clients and residents appreciate what I am doing. I feel very appreciated and fulfilled in my line of work. I have excellent communication skills and excellent time management, cleaning and organization skills. I started in the healthcare field in 2015 working through Pathways Inc. I wanted to become a caregiver because I enjoy making a difference in peoples lives and have a lot of knowledge in this field. Also I feel I am making a difference in the family/seniors lives by being able to provide consistency and compassion.
I choose to be come a caregiver because of my grandma, watching her slowly struggle and get worse she needed aids and help herself. The way she talked about how much of a difference a good caregiver really was made me realize that I could do that and make a difference as well. I also knew what kind o wanted to be. I love the fact that you can brighten someone's day by just showing up helping and encourage them to keep doing things and being as independent as they can. My best achievement would probably me working hard and receiving my cna before even graduating high school. I am a person who will go out of my way to help others and do what what is needed without being asked, especially when it comes to safety.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of my residents every day when they know there is someone there who is going to truly care for them no matter what. I am a care giver on a Neuro behavioral Unit which can be very challenging at times but something I love about being a caregiver is being able to be there for people who need me. Knowing that I am caring for someone who might not be able to do things without me and teaching them how to do daily activities on their own is the best. A personal achievement I am proud of is rescuing my dog that I have. He was terribly neglected to the point where he was starved and had mange and I was able to help him get better and make him know he will never be treated that way again. I am planning on going to be a registered nurse eventually but for right now I am content being a CNA. Iwouldnt be happier doing anything else in my life right now.
