I became a caregiver because I love caring for others and I like knowing that I made a difference in someone's life. I am very proud of myself for becoming independent. I am very friendly, honest, a people person, and I am always smiling, even on my worst days. I have a great sense of humor and I also love anticipating the needs of others.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I have the patience and understanding that we all need help in some type of way. I have been a caregiver for 19 years in every capacity. I have worked with the mentally ill, psychiatric and geriatric population. I also know that it is not for everyone, but I know its rewarding. What I am most proud of is that I have held the same job for 19 years and counting. I have a caring heart, and I am humble enough to understand that in every walk of life, you have to be kind and remember that one day you can be in that person's shoes, so humility is one of my strengths.
I am a very caring and trustworthy individual. Who takes pride in what she does. I work very hard and I am very compassionate about what I do. I became a care giver mainly because of my grandmother. I took care of her when she was sick and I realize after she passed even though i was heart broken It felt good that I was there to help her. Why I like about being a caregiver is helping someone who needs me the most and help to put a smile on their face. I am jovial person and to make someone's day that is a great feel. One personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am finishing up my Degree in nursing and I am very excited to be a Nurse.

I am physically fit to work. ..I am a hardworking, honest and reliable caregiver. Being our culture, as a filipina, we have tender loving care for our seniors, treat them as our own parents. I used to love my work. I have been doing this job for almost 5 years now. ..I need a job 24/7,,,, I need a day off only when I have to do errands such as annual medical check up, ,etc... Since it's a live in job,, it's not $20per hour, , instead it's $180 per day. at present,,am taking care of a 94 year old male senior,he was amputated,,I use hoyer' s lift in transferring him..from the chair to his bed and vice versa. I love him and his family,,but there's some inevitable changes in our lives..My daughter is a new immigrant in this country ..I wanna live close to her ... I worked at Evergreen Woods of N. Branford CT for less than two years, July 2017 - October 2019
Even though I went straight from graduating College in 1986 to concentrate on providing services for foster children and their parents, I still continued to provide loving care for various people in my life such as my mother , my neighbor and a doctor's aunt. Now that I have entered early retirement at age 55 ( in April of 2018), I want to concentrate on caring for the elderly whom may not be able to care for themselves. Elderly people deserve the best care as they age.
I pride myself in making a difference in people's life, and that's why I pride myself in been the best of myself when caring for others. I became a caregiver, as I think there's a need for many who's in need of professional and nurturing care and I knew then, and now, that I can make a difference . My personal achievement is discovering my true self, with the knowledge that my life's worth, goals annd accomplishments is solely dependent on me.

My expertise in caring for the aged is my patience, love, empathy, trustworthliness and flexibility makes me stand out in this field of care. My grandmother inspires me to be a great caregiver. When she was sick, i accompany her to the hospital, wash her clothes, cook for her and made sure im there when she needed me. The excitement and joy she had on her face when im with her makes me proud that at least i made her happy before she died. When caring for the aged i have the empathy because i feel like caring for my grandmother and to make someone feel happy means me feel good that my grandmother will be happy wherever she is. Being a caregiver is full of ups and downs but it has a great influence on my relationship with others. When a loved one whether they are of a sound mind or not deserve to be treated with love, needs attention and this is a priceless gift
I became a caregiver because it was something I was always interested in and also when my sister got diagnosed with Lupus I saw how much helped she needed and I knew this was what I was supposed to do. I like being a caregiver because I'm always meeting new people and seeing the joy it bring people who really depend on you. My personal achievement I'm proud of is being a Certified Nursing Assistant. I am a devoted mother and wife. I am reliable, punctual, and love what I do
I always liked to help people since I was a child. My grandmother brought me a child doctor kit and my family were all my patients even while they were asleep. I like to meet people and learn new things. I took a customer service class while in college. I am a team player. I took a nurse aide course in 1999 and my license is still current. I have taken a medical assisting course and received my Associate's Degree in 2009. My grandmother and mother had encouraged me to go to school and get certified like my mother. They were my supporters. My grandmother and mother let me practice all I learned with and my grandmother most times on her. My grandmother became ill and that was more of a push for me because I didnt understand the things my grandmother was going through. So I pushed harder for school and she fought harder to push me through. She died a little after I had passed my state exam. I just wanted to quit but I remembered my grandmother and the hardwork we did together. I pushed on after my grandmother died. My mother died and I decided to go to LPN school. My personal achievement I never thought of that. But if I had to think of 1, I would say it would the drive withing myself to not quit at my dreams and goals.
