I became a caregiver when my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Since then I have done a wide spectrum of care including hospice, Alzheimer's, dementia & recovery from surgery. I am outgoing & have found interacting on a personal level with my clients does them a world of good. We all just need someone to talk to & to feel like someone cares. Even if it's just in that moment & they won't remember who I am the next day. I am also there to support family & other caregivers. It's not easy caring for a loved one, I know from personal experience. There are times when primary caregivers & family need a break, need the ear of someone who understands & the shoulder of someone who has been there to cry on. My goal is to make sure everyone is cared for in difficult situations.
