I have been in the medical field for almost 35 yrs. This is my passion and my comfort zone. I came to the USA with the plan to continue my nursing and started as a private contractor, doing home care. I have been in part-time companion care since 2012 while working full time as a Nursing assistant/file clerk at NYU Winthrop University hospital. This is a job you have to love to do it. Understanding the various medical and psychological changes in an individual as they age is a great asset and I do. My humanitarian personality has helped me to be successful in my profession but I needed to step down a little and just to companion care after I resigned from WUH for personal reasons. The individual who hires me will not only be comfortable and safe but can depend on me to recognize any physical, emotional, medical or psychological changes. I know my job because this is the job I love.
