My experience as a caregiver began in 2009 when my grandmother had a fall and needed someone to take care of her after she got home. So I moved in to assure her that she didn't have to go into a nursing home. Then a few years later I moved in with my grandfather after his knee replacement surgery and took care of him as well. I learned so much about kindness, empathy, and patience throughout this experience. Ever since then, my life has been shaped by the every day interactions I have with these amazing people. The Elderly, They inspire me with their compassion, determination and sense of humor and my goal in providing care is to give back to them what they have given to me. I aspire to maintain their quality of life in whatever way that I can and hopefully bring a little joy to their day.
