Most of my clients have been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimers. I am always by their side assisting with bathing, grooming (always careful to let them be involved in picking out their clothes for the day), dressing, buttons. Grooming, shaving assist for men, and dental hygiene after meals. I always include them in the daily activities. Clients with incontinence, reminding them to toilet frequently, changing adult briefs as soon as needed. Meal prep, exercise if doctor approved. I truly enjoy meeting and connecting with seniors on their level. Making the difference in someone's life is a wonderful feeling. I love it when they see me and greet me with a warm smile. Companship is very important whether it is sitting together on a beautiful day or playing cards or crossword puzzles. I run errands as needed, driving clients to and from doctor appointments, therapy, etc. Medication reminders are very important and staying hydrated, I also do laundry, dishes and light cleaning. I have been a care giver for over 5 years and this is a job I truly enjoy. I'm dependable, loyal, patient and responsible.

At the time, I was definately a construction office worker. I had the pleasure of working with the Project Manager as his right hand person. We did alot of bidding on various jobs, did site walks, distributed plans to sub contractors and sure to receive their bid in time for bid day. I held meeting every Monday with all the Project Managers, discussing due dates, possible addendums, and scope of work to be sure we covered all bases. Toward the end of the day, I would work up front for the Vice President of Operations, responsible for travel arrangements , collecting money owed to supervisors in the field and work with accounting to see everyone was paid for their out of pocket expense. I loved the job, but moved back to Las Vegas after my father's passing in 2014.

Being Estimating Coordinator taught me so much about construction. I loved it, meeting sub-contractors on certain jobs, being their number one person to contact for blue prints and spec books. I would send out via electronically Invitations to Bid on various jobs and certain to order from the reproduction company what we needed. I attended formal bid openings, representing Burke. Oh so exciting to be the low bidder and get the job. In 2008 the construction business came to a halt practically. It was then I knew I would relocate to Texas to be close to my father and loving every minute of it. I ofter miss construction work, but now have a calling to help others as I did with my father.
