My name is Jonathan and I am a recent college graduate with hopes of one day becoming a primary care physician. I have always had a passion for helping others and see the greatest personal fulfillment in life as providing compassionate, dedicated care for those in need. I thrive on interpersonal communication and sharing quality time with friends and family. As the youngest sibling of five, I have always been given love and fostering care by my family members; this has inspired my personal ambitions as well as instilled a deep sense of duty/empathy for all individuals in need that I come into contact with. My greatest achievement to date would have to be graduating from college with a major in Biological Sciences in May 2018, after dealing with financial and personal setbacks, forcing me to forego my studies for an entire year. To complete my degree, I had to work multiple jobs during my leave to save enough money to pay my tuition alone while successfully completing an overloaded academic course schedule to make up for time lost. Additionally, upon my graduation I devoted the following summer to preparing to take the Medical College Admission Test in order to continue chasing my dreams of practicing medicine. I invested more hours and dedication in this than I had ever devoted to anything in my life. My effort was rewarded by successfully scoring above the 80th percentile in the nation. These achievements have afforded me some options for furthering my education and eventually taking the next steps of becoming a doctor. They are of the greatest value to me because I look back and recall the multiple setbacks and adversity I faced, proving to myself that my optimism and humble work ethic can help me accomplish anything. Faith in one's own potential and expressing a positive, genuine attitude towards life/others are the key values I maintain when I approach any situation in life.
Caregivers that work non-full-time jobs or irregular shifts can negotiate extra compensation in addition to their standard hourly wage.
