I've been told that I'am a great listener with an attractive compassionate heart, that makes other feel joy and good about themselves .. To me it comes naturally. I have always had a soft heart towards our seniors .. Ever since I was a little girl who was spoiled by my grandparents who taught me so much about the life that was ahead of me.. I take all that great advice into my life everyday and especially when it comes to showing love and respect towards those who paved the way for us all , which I know makes me a great caregiver with that extra compassion and respect every senior deserves. My expertise doesn't come from literature or videos or classes in a school only... my caregiver skills come from the heart that the good Lord has blessed me with and also from being a caregiver for many years now for my senior mother who is now 87 years old, and is still very independent in many ways but does need assistance in making her life a bit less of a struggle.. Such as rides to Dr . Appts , grocery shopping , meal prepping, cleaning her home, making phone calls , reading to her , watching movies, letting her visit with my dog and just making her smile , laugh & feel like she matters.... I enjoy caregiving because I just love bringing joy, smiles & warmth to those who I feel like worked so hard to pave the way for us to be living our lives. I hope one day others would do for myself or my Loved ones as I get older and cannot do the things I once did in return... Also to bring some relief to the loved ones whom are in the position of taking care of their older family members whom are needing care while they attempt to still live their lives as well..
