I love working as a caregiver, for I am a people person; I get along with most. I have a special place in my heart for the elderly-they have so much to give and have a lot of interesting history in their lives and counting. I am a team player, and I do show compassion for people; especially the people that feel that they are left out in society. We are all special people and are oh so precious to God. I enjoy being able to brighten someone's day and make them feel a little more special. I have been working in the medical field since I was twenty one years of age. I have so many fond memories with people that I have worked for and with. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is, the lives I have touched and brightened. I wish I did not have to make a living and just do volunteer work-but society is not set up that way when earning a living. I have a degree in Psychology and was a Certified Nursing Assistant in California in 1983; I was also a Certified Home Care Aide. I have all my certifications and documents including CNA, First Aid, CPR, Auto insurance, 2-step TB test, background check, references. I enjoy working with people in their homes because for most, this is the ideal environment that is thrived in. I guess you would say that I enjoy the one-to-one contact. ... more
