I take great pride in assisting my resident’s with their daily care essentials that make their life easier. I know that its attitude that makes the care and companionship I provide truly compassionate. Every day and in each situation I am dedicated to doing the best job I can, with professionalism and heart. I have 9 years of experience as a caregiver in various types of facilities, including IHSS, and across a range of resident personalities (elderly & developmentally disabled, dementia, Alzheimer’s/memory care). In addition, I have cared for clients with losses associated with strokes (mobility, speech, coordination), including the blind. I have assisted with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, meal preparation (pureed), and hand-over-hand feeding laundry, and walking guidance. I have encouraged and assisted physical exercise and range of motion programs, as directed by a medical professional. In addition, I provide medication reminders, escort on appointments (hair salon, physical therapy, etc.), religious services or events which required maintaining calendars and organization of mail. I have replaced oxygen tanks, and set up Nebulizers (breathing treatment); provided safe transfers to and from, bed, chair, sofa, commode, walker and wheelchair. I love what I do!
