1. I think that some people just have a desire to want to help others and to provide them with a safe, warm, and comforting environment. There is nothing else that I would rather do. 2. The smile on someone's face after seeing that I was the one who put it there couldn't make me any happier. 3. In my previous employment, because of the outstanding care that I provided I was able to secure a large donation for the agency. 4. I am a dedicated, hard working, spirited, and compassionate individual. I look to better the lives of those around me.
I love caring for people of all ages, I was born a caregiver. My first professional job as a caregiver was when I was eighteen years old. I was an emergency fill in which became a full time position for three years per the request of the client. It ended due to the passing of my client who was 92 years old. I still miss her today.
I became a care giver because I found it rewarding to helping people in need. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gave me the opportunity to help people where they need it the most, and make a difference. My personal achievement I'm most proud of is loving what I do. I know it takes a special type of person to work in this field as long as I have and still have a passion. I consider being a caregiver much more than just a job. I have been in the medical field for 19 years, I love my career, and my educational goals are to learn as much as I can, and make a difference.

Hello, I'm Laurie. I have worked in the healthcare field for approximately 20+yrs. I started as a volunteer for cancer patients at a local Hospice center at the age of 15 over my summer break. I knew from that moment on caring for others was my passion and I never turned back. I got my first break as a Nursing Assistant at the age of 17 at a local hospital. After a year they let me challenge the state board test and I officially became a CNA. I graduated as a Respiratory Therapist 14 years after working as a CNA. I love working in home health. The one on one experience you have with the patients is such a joy. I feel you can give such more dedicated care as you are not spread out so thin and made to be so impersonal as in a corporate setting. I continued working as a caregiver despite being a Respiratory Therapist just because I enjoy meeting new people, have made friends for life and some feel like a part of my own family. I decided approximately 5yrs ago to go back to what I enjoy the most and pursued my career fully back into Home Health and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I look forward to meeting you and being able to be given the opportunity to help you and your family!

I am Gerri Bowdle, I am currently a caregiver for two great little boys (2&4) years old, and I am looking to pick up more hours. I have two months of experience with them, but I also watched my two baby cousins from newborn to three and six years old, I also have experience watching my brothers from the time I was twelve years old. I also have experience with the elderly, I worked as a Patient Care Associate during my four years of High School and I loved every minute of it. I enjoy caring for children and the elderly because they are a huge part of are world and should be taken care of by a love and nurturing family and sometimes you need help from a nanny/caregiver and that is why I choose to do what I do. They deserve the absolute best care and I do it with much pride.
