I've been a caregiver for almost 10 years. The first time I've worked as a caregiver I thought I can't able to do this kind of job, but the elderly people inspired me. I've learned a lot from them, how to value what God gave to you, how to be satisfied of what you have, and how to help each other. I found in my heart that this is what i want to do, and this is my passion. As of now I'm still working in a facility in Memory care and i've learned working with my resident's that having alzheimer's, dementia, you never argue with them instead you always agree, never reason out instead divert it to something else. Never lecture with them instead reassure it. Never say remember, Instead reminisce or never say I told you, instead I told you, never force them you should reinforce. This is how you respect and care especially to the elderly.
