I became a caregiver when I was 16yrs old. The reason is my mother is a nurse so I use to go to school with her at night and on the weekends she would allow me to go to work with her. She taught me that people are really depending on me and her. She also taught me to go above an beyond when it comes to my work it looks better and it makes you feel better as a person. The most important thing I have learned in this field is that me myself will one day be in the same position not exactly but pretty much the same. So I treat people like I one day will wanted to be treated. When that day does come I can only hope I get someone like myself who actually cares about what they are doing and the people whose lives they are impacting. Not to mention the families that are trusting in me.
