I have been working in the personal care profession for several years. I decided to become a caregiver because I enjoy providing care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I am helping someone and this job enables me to make a difference in the daily lives of my clients. My client misplaced her money I helped her to find it and put it in a secure place, she was concern that she would forget where she put her money. She speaks five languages, so I told her choose one of the language and write it down on a piece of paper and put on the refrigerator. She was very grateful that I helped her to solve her problem and I am very proud that I was able to help her.

Hello, I am currently a certified home health aide. I have 3 years of experience working with senior home care. I currently work part time in home care and volunteer with Alzheimer and dementia clients in Ederly Adult Day services. One of my cases for 8 months was with a patient who has progressive supranuclear palsy. I Assisted the client with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting. I did light house work and laundry. Most importantly I observed the client for signs of deterioration or concern and report them to the family on an immediate basis. I also assisted with transportation with bringing my client home from the hospital. I truly loved my job as a caregiver because I have a huge passion for helping people. I love to make life easier for elderly clients and put a smile on their face. Working with elderly clients always holds a special place in my heart especially since I'm also going into nursing. I volunteered at a nursing home for 1 year and 2 in half years experience as a personal trainer. With my experience I've helped patients at the nursing home with their everyday life and built strong relationships with them. As a personal trainer I worked with elderly clients making sure they stay active and have a healthier lifestyle. My number one goal is making sure they feel good about themselves!
