I have some experience with those who need extra care! I was in training to become a CNA, and worked as a task aide for United Helpers for a summer where I provided assistance, companionship and cleaning for elderly residents. I also love helping my grandparents around the house when they need it. Seeing how many people need help with their own family members inspired me to find extra work as a caregiver to help others as well as providing extra income for my own growing family. Being able to put a smile on someone's face and leaving a lasting impression on someone is a great accomplishment for me.

In my role as a caregiver for the elderly, I had one gentleman who would always buzz me to attend to him, but because he was experiencing memory loss and dementia, when I arrived he would forget he just buzzed me for the same thing. I always showed him kindness and patience, and as a result, he requested me as his caregiver.

I'm very cheerful and very caring. I got into healthcare because I love how awarding the work feels. I love knowing what I'm doing actually means something.

I am a quick witted, quirky person that enjoys being a caregiver because it gives me job satisfaction by knowing I did everything I could do in my day to make someone else's day a little more bearable & easing their minds a little. I am proud of my Degree in the Art of SCIENCE (Criminal Justice) but I am also proud of the certifications I have earned in healthcare.

I am a friendly person with a natural capability of providing continuous care to older adults, physically challenged people, as well as children. Empathy is embedded in my personality, also, I am a good listener. I am a caregiver by nature, and could not think of a better way to give than working as a caregiver.

I've always wanted to work with the elderly since I was a little girl! They need company and need us to be there for them as well.

I thoroughly take pride in assisting others with living their best life while assisting them with living in their own home as long as they possibly can. I am patient, kind, caring and understand that with age comes many complications that sometimes takes a special person to be able to cope with. I love bringing smiles to their faces . They become almost family to you . Something I am really proud of is helping my aunt open up a program through our church for the disabled. It was one of my biggest achievements . Thats when I fell in love with this career path !
