With my mom we helped clean, helped her shower, did her grocery shopping, etc. We did this for years until her health deteriorated to the point she had to go into a nursing home. That period of time was difficult for me because of things I saw, smelled, and heard. After my grandmother passed, I graduated high school and obtained my CNA license.     I have been a Caregiver all my life. I am the oldest, and have always looked out for/taken care of my brothers. I started out as a caregiver, and went to a Technical School to become certified as a nurses aide because I was proud of the fact that people liked the way I took care of their relatives and recognized that I was sincere.
