Helping people that can not do for there selfs is the most rewarding thing a person can do. I have been a direct service professional(dsp) at epic long island for over 2 years. I have worked with all type of people with a wide range of disabilties. When I started my job at Epic I was going to school for criminal justice and after working there I enjoyed it so much I decided to change my career. The 1st step I took was going to school to get my CNA. I was continue to move up the health care ladder until I become a nurse. (RN)m also CPR and First aid certfied. A associate degree in science hangs on my wall. By Sept I will be back in school studying to become a LPN. On December 19, 2014 I recieved my New York State certification as a nursing home nurse aid (CNA). Im a great employee and caregiver simply because I naturally have an urge to help others in need. Over the years of working at Epic I have mature into a great caregiver. Im very patience and compassionate.
