I have a BS degree in Psychology and completed three years towards a PhD in Social / Personality Research; however, I didn't complete my Doctorate and went to work in an unrelated field. My father died of complications due to Alzheimer's, so I am familiar with the effects of dementia, and I have worked as an Aide with children on the autistic Spectrum. My ex-wife's sister had MS, and I am familiar with the effects of that disease ; and have helped care for an adult woman, who I dated; who was dependent on a wheelchair and the use if crutches for mobility, due to a spinal condition that affected her since birth.
