About Bethany

I have a background in caregiving of all types : newborns, toddlers, teens , special needs, all the way up to the elderly . I prefer to care for the elderly because I've always had a special bond with them. It warms my heart to care for them and listen to their stories. I think all older people deserve so much respect as they've been through much more than you or I. They certainly deserve to go through their final years on this earth with the utmost dignity , which is oftentimes, hard to find amongst many caregivers in a public sector. This is very important, and I think it matters just as much as the healthcare, in itself. As long as you have all of those elements in place, as well as someone whose heart is in the right place , you are on the right track . I hope to meet your loved one and care for them. Cared for a friends grandmother in her mid 80s with advanced Alzheimer's. She only trusted the family and myself. I was around the family often so she warmed up to me fast. I bathed her and helped her get changed and helped her with toileting. I made her meals and tried to get her to eat but she wouldn't eat very much. I helped with her meds. She went to bed very early when it was still light out. She was a very sweet lady. I tried to show her lots of pictures of her family and friends and play music to help her. Her husband was still alive and very active.
