I truly believe that care giving is my calling in life. I have spent 20+ years as an Administrative Assistant in the corporate world and for small companies. I started my career as a caregiver on a part-time basis and fell in love with the work. I knew that I was comfortable with the elderly at a young age, as they were always in my life. I am passionate about taking care of them, listening to what they have to say and making a difference in their life. I am a nurturer by nature and it is important to me to now share that gift with those who need it most. I am the youngest of nine (9) children so I have always taken care of my siblings children, my nieces and nephews. I have received precious memories and fulfillment from taking care of them. I my group of friends, I am always the one "taking care of things and everyone." That is just my nature. What I enjoy most about care giving is knowing that I helped someone and I was an ear to listen to them and take interest in them. I love to listen to what an elderly person has to say because I learn SO much from them. One of my patients required blood sugar readings and insulin. I learned how to administer both and I am quite proud of the fact that I have that knowledge and skill.

Becoming a caregiver is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love this job and being able to help people do things that most take for granted everyday. I love being someone they know they can trust, and someone who makes sure they always feel safe and as happy as possible on any given day. I love getting to know the clientele and figuring out the best way to interact with them, so that they don't feel like I'm just another staff member, but actually someone who cares. I have a huge heart and love being able to help anyone I can.
