I have always loved helping people. As a nursing assistant being able to supply, the needed assistance of cooking, cleaning, and/or personal hygiene. If assistance is needed to keep a member of the elderly population in their home, where they are familiar with their surroundings and they are comfortable, Then we should respect their wishes and provide the assistance for as long as they can live independently with assistance. I became a certified nursing assistant in 1982, my senior year of high school. I moved to northeast Ohio in 2005 when I returned to class to earn my State Tested Nursing Assistant certification. I have worked in the medical field for over 30 years. I have tried other career fields, but have always returned to the career that love. working in the medical field is one of those careers that you absolutely love or you don't. Being able to care for the elderly population has always been where my heart has been. This is what I enjoy doing and find to be rewarding, to be able to give the assistance needed to make the life of another easier. Being able to see someone smile, knowing that they are going to receive the assistance needed to stay in their own home is very rewarding for me.
