I have recently spent my clinicals in Home Health Care acheiving my CNA and QMAP or Medical Administration certification. I have spent much of my life taking people at home but working outside the home as a teacher and professor I have worked for 7 years at the United States Air Force Academy as a Portuguese teacher. I also have a strong experience with high school programs as I spent four years teaching high school in a Title X school in Montgomery County, Maryland, outside of Washington DC. Simultaneously, I earned my Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Second Language Acquisition through a fellowship awarded by The George Washington University. The fellowship was awarded through my three years of volunteer work in the United States Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa. I have been fortunate to have had opportunities over the past twenty years of my pedagogical career to excel in teaching students of all ages and from all different countries and cultures. I have also coordinated a multicultural staff of teachers as a school administrator for a primary bilingual school in Northeastern Brazil. I speak Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Bambara, and I would love this opportunity to use my compassion and health care skills to help your loved one.
