I'm a compassionate, very conscientious, dedicated, patient and professional caregiver and CNA with excellent work ethics. I pay attention to details, and provide peace of mind to families knowing that their loved ones are in good hands. Highly sought out, and requested by the same clients. When I worked for EHM Senior Solutions, all of my long-term clients would rather not have anyone else come in from the company when I was not available. Of all the 12 caregivers that a client of mine had who need 24-hr care, I was the only one asked stay on to take care of him when he moved to an assisted living facility. Another client of mine who no longer need 24hr care, and just need someone to do some light housekeeping around the house and provide companionship, I was the only caregiver asked to stay on assignment.

Hi my name is Pam I became a caregiver back in 2013. I was working as an aide with special needs kids. The child that I was working with had Down Syndrome. Her parents ask me if I would apply through the state and become her caregiver at home so I did. While working with her I received a call from an Independent Provider who was looking for someone to fill in hours to cover shifts. He explained that I would be taking care of two brothers that had Friedreich's Ataxia. Both brothers were very dependent on me to assist them with daily living skills. This is how I became a caregiver. I love being a caregiver. I love the fact that I get to make a difference in some ones life. While working with kids I get to see them grow and become more independent. To know that I had a part in that makes me happy. While working with adults and Seniors I get to help them do things that they just can not do on their own anymore, be a companion, and be a comfort. To me it is a blessing to help make their world a little easier. Somethings that make me a great caregiver are I am dependable. In my three years I have never called off sick one time or never not shown up for my clients. I am organized, I go above and beyond, have good communication skills, show empathy and I put others first. One proud personal achievement I have is I just became an STNA. I was not sure how I would do since I have not been in school for over 20 years but I did it. Now I am hoping to go back to school with in one year for nursing.

I am a very outgoing person that loves to take care of our elderly and the young I got into being a caregiver back in 1998 was looking for something that would fit my schedule didnt know that I would have such a great love for it to be in the field for 20 years I enjoy making our clients feel right at home with having me around my great achievement is knowing that I am making a difference in someone else life
My first attempt at being a caregiver was on the job training. My deceased wife had a lot of health problems. Diabetic, COPD, renal failure leading to dialysis. We ended up getting Anita a self-powered wheelchair which gave her a since of independence. I adjusted pretty good in being able to help her. She was a very loving person and it was easy to give her the love back in caring for her. I took an evening job so I could be available to take her to dialysis 3 times a week. While she was receiving her treatments, I would doing grocery shopping, laundry, and run around errands. She had a great attitude towards her health problems so I adjusted well in helping her however I could. I was truly an act of love. So I became a caregiver out of necessity but never resented it. It was like a partnership. I could do all the things that she was not able to do. It worded out pretty well. I have no regrets. I enjoyed the chance to help someone and see on her face her appreciation for what I could do. I have always liked help people and when I was a teacher did this in my classrooms. With Anita this was a chance to help her exclusively. My person achievement in being a caregiver was making her life complete and she was very happy until the day she passed on to the lord. I miss that lady but was thinking that I could recapture the feeling of help a person or family once again. I was the greatest feeling that I ever felt...
I became a caregiver when i had lost my own Grandmother to a horrible debilitating disease. I seen who was there to care for her and what i felt the person should have done. The lack of decent care really turned me toward wanting to be everything someone needed in that special time of need. I enjoy when my clients families tell me that i have cared for their loved one as if they we're my own family member. I take being a caregiver very seriously, i want to make sure i am relieving as much stress and worry from not only my clients but especially their family members. I love to allow my clients to be as independent as possible, always helping to reassure them im only there to lend a helping hand not to take over their life. I am a mother of 4 beautiful children, 2 almost grown and on their own and 2 elementary school aged, so needless to say i do not lack patience :).
