I am a very compassionate person who loves taking care of elderly. I started home health care right out of high school and I fell in love with it. I haven't done anything else since then and I am now 24! I enjoy creating a bond with my clients and assisting them with all their needs. It makes me feel good to know that I could help somebody else achieve daily tasks (and more) that would be impossible without help. Home health is a very rewarding job, which is why I love it so much.

I am generally caring. I got into caregiving when a family member was in great need of assistance. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving is playing a role in someone else's life and making a difference. My proudest achievement has been saving lives and I hope to continue doing so.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I go far beyond to provide my clients with the best quality of care. As a caregiver, my resident needs come first, and I make sure their health care needs are met. I first became interested in elderly care at the age of 11, I was a volunteer at a residential care facility where my Aunt worked. Later, at the age of 15, I became a dietary aide at another local residential care facility. Then, at the age of 18, I received my certificate as a State Tested Nurses Aide (STNA) and been working in the field for over 10+ years. I guess you can say I always had a passion for working with senior citizens and the elderly. I guess being raised by my great-grandmother taught me how to have compassion and patience for older people. What I enjoy most when it comes to being a caregiver is seeing my clients happy and relieved knowing their loved ones are being provided the best quality of care possible and seeing their healthcare needs taken care of. My greatest personal achievement is my children and obtaining my bachelor's degree in health care.
Have been working as a care giver with elderly seniors with Dementia, Neuropathy, or Partially paralyzed due to a stroke, brain tumors, or old age doing cooking cleaning laundry grocery shopping medication reminders or just sitting communicating with then. I find it very gratifying to assist these who have some struggles with certain areas in their lives. I have found my clients seem to appreciate the companionship and the assistant I bring to them. This is not a new field of expertise for me I worked in nursing homes when I was younger. Then became a beautician for many years After two automobile accidents I started a business going into seniors citizens homes doing hair for them to give the ladies some independence. I took care of my mother for 2 years trying to keep her home while she was suffering from Dementia diabetes and heart disease. As I needed to go back to work I have been working as a care giver. Enjoying my time with my clients. I have not limited myself to seniors only as I do realize younger people need help as well. I do have copies of MY Own Background Check which can be provided upon request. I think I am a very caring friendly and out going person. A little different than most always trying to find the lighter sunnier side to life.
I became a caregiver because I love knowing that people feel loved when I am there. I know I give great care because I tend to all of their needs. I always make my patients laugh and feel welcome. My mom attracted me to become a caregiver. There is no more rewarding feeling knowing you made a difference in someones life. I enjoy being able to talk with residents and hear about their life before they for sick. I'm proud of making my patients smile and I'm proud that they trust me and know that I'm going to do the best job that I can.
I'm an outgoing, friendly person who cares about people. My wife and I care for her aging mother and I also do lawn work for a 91 year old woman in our area. I enjoy listening to the experience older ones have and I have a real compassion for their limitations. These are some of the greatest reasons I like to work with these ones.
I been a Private caregiver for 17 years, It all started when My Mother 17 years ago become ill with Leukemia, I was 17 and wanted to care for her , so I left 11 grade to stay home with her, she passed a year later. My father become ill 3 years after my mother's passing and I refused to put him in a nursing home, I took care of him from 2001 up to his passing in 2009- I have 18 years experience with Dementia, bedridden, Alzheimer's with many clients in the 18 years i been doing this... It's always been a passion of mine to care for others, I would like to offer help to those who want to remain in their home and maintain the lifestyle they worked so many years to achieve.
What makes me a great care giver is that I'm passionate about what I do I love helping people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was seeing my grandmother become ill and having no one to care for her I took on that role until she passed. I have been taking care of the elderly ever since I didn't want to see someone who didn't have anyone to care for them so I wanted to be that person. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the relationship I develop with each client. The feeling of making some feel loved and appreciated and cared for is the best feeling to me.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I am seeking a career with a well-established company where my skills are implemented and enhanced. Also, I am looking to secure a position as a public relations / care professional in order to utilize my training, and interpersonal skills with accuracy and advancement while maintaining a motivated, productive, and professional environment for the entire professional team on board while maintaining extensive customer care and reassurance. Not only to be professional and establish a career, working as a Nursing Assistant has became very personal and close to my heart. I started taking care of my Great Grandmother in 2008 when she started to get Alzheimer's and dementia. I took care of her, even when her care was out of my ability, when she passed away in 2014 my heart was set on the medical and nursing field. As it being something that I have put many years and emotions in to, I've learned to be a successful caregiver and aide, you have to be made of both empathy and compassion, patient and understanding, being reliable and flexible, along with trustworthy. Ultimately, we are the person a patient, or client, rely on.
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
After being in an elementary school classroom for the past 4 years, I found my position cut because the program I helped implement did not receive the funding for the 2014-2015 school year. I have always enjoyed working with children but I have also truly enjoyed working with elderly clients as well. My mom is a full time nurse and has had a few private duty positions in which she assists with food prep, errands, taking clients to appointments/stores and ADL's. I have taken care of one of her clients when she was not able to be there; I cooked meals, ran errands, helped her get prepared (bathed, dressed), and was there to provided companionship for the day/evenings. I enjoy helping people and feeling that I have made a difference (even if it is spending time with someone to avoid feelings of loneliness). I have experience working with a child with special needs (medication administration, feeding tube administration/cleaning). I am very responsible and reliable. I am available on short notice and have a clean background check (that is up to date) as well as reliable transportation (and insurance). I look forward to hearing from you and helping your family!
