My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.

**available after 4/7/21** I consider myself to be very loyal. Patience is a big part of what makes me 'me'. I have provided care for adults dealing with Parkinson's, stroke, Alzheimer's, the physically disabled (quadriplegic, amputee and bed ridden obese), and companionship for the blind as well. I am able to perform bowel care, administer meds/nutrition via g-tube, provide wound care, intermittent cathing (male), change dressing for supra pubic cath (male), am familiar with ROM exercises, and I have experience using a Hoyer. There is nothing better than showing up at my clients home and seeing their eyes sparkle as they put on their biggest smile for me...and by the way...I always give a hug before gettin' down to business! I enjoy tinkering around the house and yard, love animals (especially cats), and enjoy making bargello quilts.
