I became a caregiver as a stepping stone to becoming a nurse. I thought that it would provide me some insight into whether or not I would enjoy nursing, and now I love my job. I consider being a caregiver a career before my career. I enjoy spending time with those who could benefit from my services, as I feel I could benefit from their knowledge. Something interesting about me is that I've been taking care of my quadriplegic sister since I was 9 years old. When I graduated high school pre-suing my dreams in law enforcement wasn't easy. I had a son and I didn't have child care for the time I would have been in police academy.
