my name is Vanessa. Most of my client called me by "V". Caregiving isn't just a job for me, it's my passion and it's what I love to do! I started out in this field by taking care of family and I know how hard it is to find reliable, qualified help for your loved ones. I take the time to learn what needs to be done in order to give your loved one the best possible care available. These times can be stressful and taking care of people is what I love to do. I can turn a stressful, chaotic situation into an easy going routine schedule that will leave you as stress free as possible. I will follow your exact instructions and build a working relationship you can depend on when it comes to taking care of your family or loved one. I will give your loved one the care and attention they deserve! I am a detail orientated caregiver with over 10 years of experience in: Companionship, personal care, special needs, bed bound patients, Alzheimer patients, incontinence care, hospice patient, CPR knowledge, diabetic care, transferring equipment,(Hoyer, Sit and Stand) feeding, medication dispensing/reminders, meal preparation/cooking, housekeeping/laundry and grocery shopping/errands.
Being a Primary care-giver for your loved one can be a very stressful time for a family, especially when you are still trying to maintain your own home, job & your children. I have the experience, empathy & expertise of relieving you of some of this burden. I really love the elderly & will treat your loved one as if they were my own. I first became a CNA when I was 15 years old, so I do have a lot of experience. In my most recent case , I was working for a private agency, in a private facility caring for a 99 year young woman with macular degeneration (Blindness) and hearing loss, with typical heart problems for her age, & slight dementia, requiring 24 hour care. We dressed her, cooked for her, reminded of medications, walked with walker for exercise, attended Dr. appointments & also used a wheelchair. we went on daily outings outside in the fresh air, & attending many facility activities. I had been with her for about 1-1/2 years. Prior to that, I cared for another elderly woman with severe chronic, dementia, it was extremly challenging & through working directly with the Hospice nurses I was able to learn so much more about this debilitating disease, how to handle different situations, & comfort the family at the same time. I was with her for a little over a year before she sadly passed away. And prior to that I took care of an 89 year old woman, for about 2 years, she was living in her home with her son & his family, during the days while they worked. cooking, light cleaning, medication reminders, dressing, bathing and all over just keeping her company. I can provide references from the families upon request & I have passed a current background check. I am very reliable. Hours are flexible to the familiy's needs. I am available for weekends also. Thanks for looking, hope to be in touch soon ! Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Ph # 727-408-1068 I've always enjoyed caregiving - for my younger siblings, my own children, and working with the disabled. I began caring for seniors with my elderly mother-in-law and it was deeply satisfying.
I am a certified Home Health Aide working through an agency and am now an independent caregiver experienced in all ADLs, medications, transfer needs and dementia. I enjoy the broad range of activities - meal prep, transportation, personal care, medical needs, and one-on-one care allows for a greater level of care, understanding and empathy.
Dependable and caring with excellent client references e.g. \"head and shoulder above other caregivers\", \"a godsend\" as well as recent drug test, background check.
