What makes me a great caregiver is not just the skills and experience that I possess buts it's the care and compassion that I have for my residents, I enjoy helping others and I feel accomplished bringing about a smile on others faces.

I became a caregiver because it fufills my heart, mind , and soul. I get great satisfaction knowing that I can help keep a person safely and comfortably in their home. Meeting new people and their families has given me a lot of knowledge to use for the next job I am fortunate to receive. My years of experience have taught me to have patience and compassion for each person because everybody is different in their own way. I have raised an incredible teenager who is thriving in life. One of the things I am most proud of is that I took care of my mother who was dying of lung cancer. I was the best advocate for her that I could be. I kept her safe and comfortable to live out the last days of her life. I have done a little of everything in the medical field. I have worked in the ER, assisted living, home health and hospice and live in private duty. When I am not working I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family.

I enjoy taking care of my residents and love the experiences. My favorite thing about being a caregiver, is the interacting and connection I receive from all my residents, good and bad. My personal achievement and something about myself is that, I'm raising 3 kids on my own and I couldn't imagine it any other way. I'm very blessed.
