I love the field I feel great at the end of the day when I do and care for someone. I dicided ended that this is what I wanted to do. Making people happy and comfortable. When I have done my job not only it is my job it's my passion. I'm a mother of two girls born and raised in Lawrence my parents are originally from the domincan republic they came to the state in the 60s. I've been a certified nurses aide for 15 years. I am passionate and patient I therefore know that people who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks. They may ask the same questions over and over. As a good caregiver , I need patience to deal with anything from a loved one's memory lapses to angry outbursts. I usually practice staying calm and avoiding frustration. Empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary. Even when caring for an abusive person, I aways try to remain empathetic and understanding. Finding something to laugh about can make a tough situation bearable. My sense of humor keeps me emotionally strong and is a great stress buster. I know the importance of respecting their loved one's current abilities. Rather than focusing on what their loved one can no longer do, i try to be in the moment with them -- looking at photos, listening to music, cooking a favorite meal, remembering that they weren't always sick. Therefore that makes me the best and suitable candidate who looks forward to taking care of your loved ones.

I chose to be a caregiver from my childhood taking care of my loved ones in my family whoever got sick and was hospitalized, I was number one to go and take care of them, when I grew up, started to take care of my Mom who had diabetes and High blood pressure, came to America and started working in a small assisted living for people with Alzheimer and my passion for care increased .I was so happy to make a difference in these people and make them smile.

I'm a natral born caregiver..I have held many positions ,as my career had changed to meet the needs of my growing family. I have 4 children. Three are adulting on thier own and in college.I still have one little at home. My cpr & first aide certificate is valid & medication certified.
