I am a healthcare professional with 25+ years experience working in geriatric, memory care, dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I work in hospice care, palliative medicine, end of life care. I am a patient, compassionate, good listener, kind, caring caregiver. I do skilled nursing, wound care, first aid, post surgery care for transitioning patients to homecare. My start in healthcare was volunteering at the Red Cross, church and community outreach , I have worked eight years at the Washtenaw County DHS with CLS/CMH organizations as consumer advocate . I have worked long years managing assisted living facilities, nursing homes, directing memory care units, training, teaching and mentoring. I have earned Bachelor's of Science from EMU and Surgical Technology program from WCC. I am passionate about helping people to better their lives and improve their health.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I am caring, compassionate, honest, dependable. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy seeing people happy and healthy. I am proud that I assisted one of my clients with achieving her health goal of getting off insulin. I have been doing homecare for over 15 years. I also have four years experience in a manager position. I also have hoyer lift and end of life experience.

I love caring , assisting and helping others. I have been caring for others for years now and I hope to be able to keep doing it lovingly and respectfully.

What makes me a great caregiver is how I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my mom, i watched other people take care of her so I wanted to give the same love back to others who are in need. What I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is helping people. A personal achievement I am proud of is how many people I've helped in my lifetime with my caregiving career:)

My name is Rebecca. I've been a professional care giver for over 19years. I love my job because it has so many rewards within itself. I've managed a 6 man group home for the last 4 years with only minuscule issues. Regardless of the fact that I have children at home I'm quite flexible with scheduling although I would love to work mornings while my children are at school, it's not a must and I have no problem doing overtime.

What makes me a great caregiver, is the love and passion I have to be one to care for another. I enjoy doing it, im not in it for the paycheck, I do it because it makes me feel good knowing I can help someone. I always grew up wanting to help others in one way or another.. I was born in a caregiver role as a child. I took care of my siblings when I was much younger. When I was in middle school my grandmother had an operation on her back and I took care of her until she was able to take care of herself. I was in school and I wanted to take care of the elderly. So I took a C.N.A. course and I worked at the School of Nursing. I worked with an elderly woman privately and I enjoyed watching movies with her. She loved Forrest Gump. I like the assignment that I have. I got her walking when they said she couldn't walk, I got her up from being bed bound twice. I had to help her. First we crawled, then she stood up, balance was our next step, and then a few steps here, and then full walking transfers! They said she is a walking miracle. I am proud of myself that I was able to follow doctors orders, nurse orders, P.T. and O.T. exercises.

I specialize in many walks of life. I have worked in rehab as well as long term. I am covid vaccinated with booster and cpr certified.
