I am happiest and most fulfilled while caring for others. I fell in love with nursing in 1978 when I started my first job as a Nursing Assistant. I found that I was not only doing a job, I was caring for a person with an extensive life history that I could learn from. People who had family who loved them but were no longer able to care for them. I went on to get my LPN in 1986 and finally RN in 2012. I have provided care in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, private care in homes, Home Care through agencies and have cared for my patients and their families with integrity and compassion. Aging parents have caused me to reevaluate the need for flexibility and the availability to now also provide care for them. This means the typical nursing block schedule is no longer a good fit for my families needs. I will continue to provide compassionate care for others but it will look different than it has in the past.

I am a very down to earth, kind hearted person. I have always loved taking care of people, whether it be babies/kids or the elderly. I love being able to help people and it is very rewarding being a caregiver. Giving them companionship is so rewarding, especially if they don't have family/friends nearby.

I have previous work experience in a Nursing home as a CNA, taking care of many different needs. Bathing, grooming, toilet care, mobility care, feeding etc. Also worked at Dungarvin in home care with four residents. There my responsibilities were, toileting, Bathing, grooming, preparing meals, passing out meds. I feel I am a very compassionate and honest person. I love listening to the stories each individual brings.

I love working with elderly and help them and make sure they get to there doctor appointments grocery shopping and remind them to take there medications and help them prep food for them and help them with some chores around the house and make sure they have clean clothes and i enjoy helping elderly people out i helped my grandmother for 15 years of my life

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation.
