My name is Connie and my mother's name was Carol. I took care of her until her early death at 53 for 10 years. She had MS. After being in the veterinary field for 20 years, I've gained a level of comfortability with all things clinical and medical. I adore the elderly and have experience with Alzheimer patients and those with dementia. Experienced physical therapist looking to provide caregiver assistance as a meaningful secondary position. I am an active treating clinician in my primary job as an outpatient physical therapist/supervisor, with additional experience working in the inpatient setting. My background provides me with bed mobility, transfers, and gait training, in addition to proficiency in exercise programs. I've worked with a wide variety of patients, including geriatrics, post-operative and those more medically complex. Willing to assist with household tasks, errands or be there for general companionship, as well. I first started caregiving when I was 17. My first job was for glorias helping hands. At first i wasnt sure about how i felt about the type of work. I didnt have much experience as to what i was doing. I took some classes and got my rcs1 and crma first. Rcs1 is a residential care specialist and a CRMA is a certified residential medical assistant. As i learned more and worked more I realized that is was my passion to help others who may need some assistance in things they can no longer do. Honestly u really do have to have a passion for this type of work because u never know what could happen or what situation u may end up in. And some of the disabilities, and some health issues can be challenging. Ive been very lucky to continue and have worked and learned various disabilities, as well as illnesses. Today i have my rcs1, pss,cna, and also insulin certified, cpr certified, and first aid certified. I love knowing that I'm making a difference and im helping and am there for someone who needs some support and help in their life.

My goal is to win the trust , and help alleviate any embarrassment or anxiety when needing assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, or other personal care.
