I always liked to help people since I was a child. My grandmother brought me a child doctor kit and my family were all my patients even while they were asleep. I like to meet people and learn new things. I took a customer service class while in college. I am a team player.
I took a nurse aide course in 1999 and my license is still current. I have taken a medical assisting course and received my Associate's Degree in 2009.
My grandmother and mother had encouraged me to go to school and get certified like my mother. They were my supporters. My grandmother and mother let me practice all I learned with and my grandmother most times on her. My grandmother became ill and that was more of a push for me because I didnt understand the things my grandmother was going through. So I pushed harder for school and she fought harder to push me through. She died a little after I had passed my state exam. I just wanted to quit but I remembered my grandmother and the hardwork we did together. I pushed on after my grandmother died. My mother died and I decided to go to LPN school.
My personal achievement I never thought of that. But if I had to think of 1, I would say it would the drive withing myself to not quit at my dreams and goals.
1. I enjoy helping others.
2. knowing that I make that person happy. and he or she feel safe when i'm around.
3. the personal achievement that i'm proud of is becoming a care giver.
4. everyday when i wake up i am happy o go to work because i enjoy what i do.

I am a natural nurturing person. I I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor. I had a grandmother that suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 13 years. Majority of the time that she was sick I cared for her. I always knew I needed to get into the health field because I saw how important it is to have a support system. When you have someone in your family who can no longer take care of themselves it seems to have a ripple effect with everyone surrounding them. At some point we could no longer take care of my grandmother in the house so we had to hire a home health aide and in doing so I really grew to appreciate the nature of the job. You become an extended family member you grow great bonds with your clients or patients and their familes. I love being an aide.
My patients love me , always so sweet and nice and help them more than they need . Always on call whenever they need me . My mom was a caregiver growing up I remember going with her to people houses and just watching her giving the love and care that I now give my patients . It's something that I grew to love over the years of seeing my mom do it .

Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or case manager and what ever else is needed from me.
I am very patient, compassionate, loving, and very down to earth. I treat my elders just how i would treat my family. i also have my own transportation and will not have a problem getting to my destination when needed...
I'm a well qualified home care with 6 years of experience.
