I became a caregiver at 15/16. My entire family works in the healthcare field. I'm a very kind and hard driving person. My grandmother and grandfather both passing in the same year is what drove me to become a caregiver. My achievement right now is going to school to become an lpn. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is learning new things and being able to learn about my residents pasts.

I assisted residents with their ADL's while maintaining their independence as much as possible. Assisted residents in light house work and meal preps. I enjoy being able to lend a supporting hand.

The thing that attracted me most to being a caregiver is my love for helping others. I love spending time with people and helping them with anything they might need , even if it's just a friend. Im kind , friendly, clean , and I love to cook as well.

I love helping people that's what pushed me to be in the medical field in the first place. I have a lot of patience, empathy and sympathy and many characteristics and traits that would make me a great candidate for this position. I enjoy being a lending hand to the elderly who doesn't have much help and being their listening ear. Mainly just being their friend and letting them know they are not alone when they do feel alone.

I took care of both of my grandparents before they passed away. I've always working in healthcare.

What drew me to this field initially was when my grandmother had a heart attack. There are some good hospitals in florida (where I lived at the time) but majority are poor quality. Unfortunately, my grandmother ended up in one that wasn't great quality. At 16 years old, I stayed in her hospital room, sleeping on the floor, to ensure that if she needed to toilet, I could help her. I helped bathe her, and spent time with her. I did tasks that a CNA should have been performing, but it was the best thing for her because it gave her a sense of dignity in a moment of her life that was hard enough as it was. I have been working towards getting my RN completed ever since; while this goal has still not been accomplished, I am working towards it. Family is important to me, as I'm sure it is to you for your loved one. I am a single mother of 2 boys, recently divorced. I am a hard worker, and very passionate about what I do. I take my time where it matters, and recognize that there is always room for education and improvement.

I love people and I enjoy taking care of them. I have been doing this for 27 years I have met some wonderful people and their families. I have been there at the time of passing with a lot of care and compassion for them and their families
