Passionate about quality and caring home care for those in need and desiring to remain in familiar surroundings during their golden years.
I currently care for two patients. One with physical and neurological disorders and the other a post surgical care patient. These positions will be ending soon. My start date with a new client is flexible.
I am an avid amateur chef. My interests include first and foremost family, then genealogy, history, reading, writing short stories, journaling, gardening and non-political current events.
I cared for my mother in home during the last six of her 94 years. She suffered with dementia, diabetes (insulin dependent), arthritis, incontinence and mobility issues. She wanted to spend her last days in her own home for which I am very thankful I was able to be instrumental in granting her wish.
I have spent 30+ years, off and on, in the health care industry in positions of nurse aide and home health care aide. I value life and respect end of life wishes. I hope that as I age that I will have the respect, care, empathy and loving commitment to my care as I provide to my patients. Hi there! My name is Charla Webb & I have been a private caregiver for over 15 years now. I am a single Mom of 3 AMAZING teenage boys that are my life! I graduated from College in 2002 with my Nursing degree, but shortly after found out my Sister had Cancer. I helped care for her & then shortly after my Father as well. The time I spent caring for them made me realize my purpose... caregiving. I had obtained the medical knowledge needed from College & the other requirements that cannot be taught: Compassion & the desire to help others has always been in my heart! So, that is how I realized my calling & came to be what I love doing... a Caregiver. I can work 24/7 live-in or out, any days/hours. I have a few colleagues like myself that (if available), could help cover 24-hour care should you ever require or desire. I try my best to make your load lighter & your days brighter! I have experience working with Patients with: Alzheimer's, Dementia, Diabetes, Cancer, Strokes, Aneurisms, Paralization, Special Needs (Adults & Children), & more. Some Patients just wanted a warm body to "be there" to ensure they were ok, that they didn't fall or get hurt trying to cook & it gives them peace of mind & their families as well! I am a very energetic person & keep myself busy helping in any way needed. I don't mind doing light housework, cooking, transporting to Dr. appts, grocery store etc. I'm very organized & prompt & feel this type of work especially requires those skills along with empathy, patience, observing, communicative & most importantly POSITIVITY! Caregiving requires you to have a certain level of compassion & a true desire to help. I admit that I do get attached to my Patients as it's hard not to! I would feel it an absolute honor & privilege to give you/your loved one my VERY best care. I have a list of references if needed & would love to talk with you further. My cell number is 864 359 7759, I look forward to hearing from you! Have a great day! Hi, I'm Porshia Ryans 34yrs of age with no children. Desiring employment on 1st shift. Porshia Ryans I took Nursing Assistant classes during the summer before my senior year in high school. I have worked in a hospital setting and home health care for over 14 years. I was grateful for the experience I have gained in the medical profession as it was helpful when my son was diagnosed with cancer. Overwhelming as that was I was prepared for the treatment program he was randomly selected to begin. Thankfully that is behind us now. My greatest achievement was raising my four children, three who are college graduates, into responsible adults who continually make their mother proud. Most recently I have had experience in the home setting with geriatric patients dealing with dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke victim and also orthopedic problems. I enjoy being able to bring a smile, a helping hand and a comforting manner to whomever I am taking care of presently. I'm in my fifties but am young at heart, enjoy reading, card games, puzzles, crafts, cooking and many diverse subjects. Am currently certified in Basic Life Support and First Aid.
