My parents were older when I was born, my father was in his 60's and my mother in her 40's. They were very loving and I grew up around elderly people all my life. I really enjoyed taking care of them in their older years. I felt very useful and helpful doing that so I decided to make a career out of this. With a lot of training and hard work and despite the struggle of the language, since Spanish is my first language, I became a CNA. I really enjoy working with the elderly and helping them be as comfortable as possible on their last years on earth. I am very flexible with family needs and preferences. I have been doing this job for 23 years now so I am very experienced and I take pride in being very thorough with my work.

I am a passionate person who loves and enjoys helping others, especially elderly. I care greatly about helping them live independently in their homes while they are able to. I have started in the nursing career since I was 16 years. I worked in nursing homes, assisted living and private homes. I have been a part of end of life stages for those that have been diagnosed with cancer. i assisted the families as much as I could while caring for their loved one during the hardest times.

I kinda always was a caregiver and didn't know it. Both of my parents worked and I was much older than my step brother and sister, so I did all the house work and taking care of them from an early age. I also grew up with my aunt who was a spastic quadriplegic, so I learned how to do a lot there. I have had many patients, most were the ones everyone else had bad trouble with. I'm kinda the guy, that I can handle pretty much anything from full Dementia, to full quadriplegic. I have my state license in CNA, ACNA, and Phlebotomy. I have excellent experience and very good references. The last question that I am proud of is: My mother was passing in the hospital and couldn't have her placed in a home. So I brought her home with me and kept her alive for another month before she passed away with me. At the end she had full blown dementia, it was quite an ordeal to go through. So with that experience it has taught me a lot of what other families could be going through.

Ive been a caregiver on and off since I was 17 years old and I love doing it im also really good at it. Im comfortable in alot of diffrent situations im also a great cook :)

I am a loving and caring person. I treat my patients or clients like family not a patient or client. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my grandmother i seen her come into people lives and make them smile and brighten up their day and I wanted to have the same impact on people lives. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is being a help to someone, showing genuine love and care, and making clients feel better about their day. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is becoming part of healthcare.
