I have been a caregiver for 25 years. I am loving, caring,respectful, reliable caregiver. I love my job and would not change any of it. I enjoy meeting new clients, they have so many memories and adventures to tell. They bring me so much peace to my life.

As an individual who spent her early years in a civil war, it was seriously sad to see people who were affected badly and had no one to care for them. Due to my passion for humanity, I found myself voluntarily helping victims in anyway I could as encountered them. After my transition to the US due to the war, I knew that caregiving was a part of me and decided to spent my career life doing that. As a care giver, it gives me nothing less that joy and excitement to know that I can be there for an individual during their most critical time of need and that I can also be a part of the team who nurture them back to recovery/health. I'm proud to say that I've worked with multiple clients who has successfully recovered fully as well as clients who has not. But again, such is life.

I was 15 years old and just started my freshman year of high school when I was placed in a class called Intergenerational Studies. For 2 hours each day I was taken to the nursing home called Golden Years there in Elgin, Tx. I started off just getting residents from their rooms to come and do activities with me. But it wasn't long and I was working side by side with CNAs, RNs, and at one point the DON had me shadow her for 2 weeks. I just got really interested and a few years after graduation and having my son, I pursued a CNA certification and was assigned the hospice hall and the "lockdown unit" which was occupied by the more violent patients and those with conditions such as Alzheimer's and/or parkinson's, as well as those with behavioral health conditions. I honestly just fell in love with everything about caring for the elderly. Even the hard and very emotional side of the care I provide is something I wouldn't want to stop doing. I would love to get my CNA back but just haven't attempted to do so since my husband passed in 2011. Since my high school days I have worked with all ages of people, from a 2 year old little princess to a 98 year old gentleman I referred to as Fred Astaire due to them looking like twins. He loved it and would smile so big when I walked in every day; and every day he would say "Good morning Ms. Judy (Garland). You feel like dancing the day away?" It's things like that for which I love my work. Please feel free to ask anything, I would love to tell everything now but there is just so much I've been blessed to have experienced with so many different people I'd never be done.

Hello! I am Nikki, I run my own Massage Therapy practice and have experience working in physical therapy clinics and Chiropractic offices. I come from a family of Social workers and have always enjoyed working with the elderly. I am a caregiver by nature, my purpose in life is being a conduit for healing. There is a special relationship between caregiver and patient and I cherish being trusted with this important role.

I am careful, safe, organized and coordinated in transporting clients for their needs whether it is for picking up medications, getting them to and from their appointments, filling out forms, helping with their shopping, all personal care service for their daily living for and anytime they want some simple conversation and just not be alone. Food preparation and feeding client, according to strict dietary requirements and procedures Cleaning and light housekeeping (client's laundry, dishwashing, cleaning spaces used by client and caregivers, cleaning therapy equipment) Assisting with therapies (cognitive, speech, occupational) and range-of-motion exercises, including manual transfers to and from bed to assist client with weight-bearing and balance exercises. General companionship and interaction with client (i.e. reading books, cognitive therapies). Driving client to and from appointments and activities in a client-provided wheelchair accessible van.

I have worked in this field for 35 yrs. I have been certified in 3 states. I am hard working, compassionate,caring and loyal. I love my clients and they love me.
