Im upbeat, energetic, silly by nature, understanding and compassionate. I can be a strong leader and motivate others but I tend to do it through a combination of reason meets humour.
I love the outdoors and love helping others stay independent. I know what its like to be on the recieving side of care so it really means a lot to me to preserve dignity and be a friend to my clients.
I have extensive experience and training, am prompt and dependable. I am a problem solver and athough my demeanor is best described as silly, I am a professional and conduct myself as such. Humour is just a great way to connect and lighten the mood when things are otherwise difficult.
I am proud of a great many accomplishments throughout my career, my greatest achievment is my ability to help someone go from being about to be placed into a long term care facility, to being completely able to function on their own without me.
A little know how, hard work, time, and TLC can go a long way to restoring independence. I feel that I am a great caregiver because I am a people person. I love people and I love providing assistance and care to them. I have been providing care for abut 25 yrs. I have worked with all ages and have provided care on many different levels. I have worked with the elderly, children, and with individuals who are developmentally, and physically disabled. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I have provided personal care, assistance with housekeeping, errands, and appointments. I am skilled in wound care, colostomy care, catheter care, tube feedings, diabetes support, and medication administration. I would assure you that I can provide excellent care for your loved one because providing care is not just a job for me, it is a way of life. I would care for your loved one as if they were part of my own family. This would be with love, respect, and dignity. Thank you.
