I am 58 years old. I have been a CNA for more than twenty years. I love my job as a caregiver. I became a caregiver when I was 16 years old working in A nursing home. I like being able to help others. It is rewarding and satisfying to learn about others and know that in your work you can make a Positive difference in your clients life. I Wanted to improve my knowledge of health care. So I took a Medical Assistant class at MedVance Institute and Graduated with a 4.0 grade average. I lost my Husband in 1994, My sons were teenagers, I raised two wonderful sons while working as a private duty care giver.

I love to take care and help people! I grew up with my own disabilities so I know how important it is to have someone who is able to help out when things are tough. I treat all of my patients with love and care and respect because I expect to be treated just the same! I put myself in my patients shoes and ask myself what would I do if it were me?

I enjoy spending time with older adults and making them feel special, loved and wanted in spite of their declining or problematic health. I've been around and experienced many different health issues and am well versed in dealing with Drs. and being able to navigate their findings and instructions. But, at the same time, am not afraid to admit when something isn't clear to me while be willing to help find answers. I am honored to be offered the opportunity to help clients and their families. I feel that I'm also able to provide wonderful support in the event that the client and family are dealing with the difficult transition period that comes towards the end of one's life.
