Hello! I'm Cassaundra! I use to be in the hospitality industry until Covid-19 started, I decided to not go back. I started working at Home Instead Senior Care at the end of 2020 and quickly discovered it was the best decision of my life! I'm on this earth to be of service, heal and nurture, it brings me pure joy! I have a background in nursing but did not complete the program. I'm at a point now in my life where I'm ready to continue my education and get my CNA and work up from there. I am a certified personal care assistant (PCA) and have worked with individuals with TBIs as well as children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I am a compassionate person, fun-loving, very organized, and tidy. My passion for caregiving started after taking care of my husband who received a double organ transplant. After he recovered, I took a job at a Sentara Nursing home as a housekeeper and eventually a caregiver. I love grooming my patients and making them feel good about their appearance. Playing fun games, dancing, and laughing are my secret treats for my patients. My parents are miles away in Africa and taking care of the elderly gives me satisfaction as if they are my own parents.
