Iwas a nanny for 19 years, as I grew idecided to change from taking care of the young ones then I joined Caregiving which I really love to do with all my heart. What I enjoy is giving a hand wherever it's needed.Ilike listening to their stories some have interesting stories,I like to see them happy. I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I'm a patient and compassionate person, I love to be around elderly. They are very smart and full of wisdom. I feel like I'm the lucky one to be with them and help them through this step of life. Even when they rejected me, I never took it personal and tried to understand them. I have been taking care of my mother in law for 6 years and I'm happy and proud to say that caregiving is a big personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination.

My name is Tanisha! I have been a caregiver since 2016 right before my grandmother was sick and suddenly passed. Thats where my passion really began, as a youg girl I would go with my mom to work in the nursing homes and i knew from there that thats what i wanted to pursue in life.
