I am efficient and patient. I prefer this type of work because in my many years of experience I am always learning something new about the client and job.

I was too young to remember the story but my aunt says when I was 4 years old, that I comforted and reassured her when she was crying over a breakup with her boyfriend. I believe this was the beginning of my journey to care for others. I majored in Social Work and have had a wonderful 27 year career of working with children, adolescents and the aging. I have worked at UVA hospital where I gained insight into the importance of maintaining good health and how devastating a disease or accident is on one's health and life. I have worked for department of social services and assisted the aging with receiving the services needed to remain in their home or to move into a facility. At this time, I am doing "hands on" care in people's home to assist them with various activities of daily living. My mother was bedridden for many years and I was one of her primary caregivers. I know the burden on family when caring for a loved one and the importance of support. My grandfather lived to be 96 and I was there for him to assist with shopping, meal prep, housekeeping, medication reminders and transportation. I cherish the times that I spent with my mother and grandfather caring for them. I also cherish the support I received from others.

Taking of care of patients and assisting those in need is my passion. As a mother myself I treat my patients as I take of my children. I love meeting new people and taking care of their needs.

Hello everyone my name is Teanna Murphy, I have 9 years of expert experience in the medical field. I hold many titles/hats. To go down the list I am a CNA, med aide, aba clinician, companion, direct support professional and professional pizza lover. I have worked in facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes(youth and adults) , jails, asylums etc. You name it I've done it. My short term goal is to find a stable family or families I can work with ..out of everywhere I worked I truly enjoy working in home care because I feel like I'm actually useful and can bond and create a great professional relationship with he client and family. The thing I enjoy the most is making my clients happy and helping them with their ADL's. I'm an animal lover so if you have any ill love them right away and treat them as if they are my own pets. I started off working with children ages 3-17 with autistic disorders, substance, mental and physical abuse ( Youth counselor). I then branched off into working with elderly adults.
