Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. I am a recent graduate with my BS in Biology. I am planning on attending graduate school in roughly 5 years and am looking for a job that is personally rewarding such as helping individuals who can no longer care for themselves. I have experience as both a certified nursing assistant and a personal care assistant. In addition I have experience caring for my ailing grandparents in their last years of life. My course of study included anatomy and physiology, immunology and many other medically based courses which uniquely enable me to have a knowledge base in providing care that other may not have.

I am a compassionate and caring individual. I have cared for elderly people in the past including my grandmother who had heart failure and my Father who battled cancer and passed in 2010. I understand the importance of companionship for everyone but especially for those who are ill or in recovery. I enjoy helping those in need and make it a point to help put a smile on their face as often as possible. As far as my background, For ten years I worked in a group home with individuals with various disabilities. My day consisted of taking them on day trips, dispensing medication, housekeeping, and meal preparation. I also have a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in human services. I would describe myself as energetic, down to earth, reliable and ethical. I treat all individuals with the dignity and respect they deserve.
