Hi! My name is Matilda. I am 20 years old with approximately a years worth of experience as a CNA. Now I know that doesn't sound like a lot of time, but I was trained in a skilled nursing facility. In a skilled nursing facility I got to meet and take care of so many amazing people. People who were long term ended up like a second family, even ones who were short term ended up like family and got treated as such. I pride myself in giving the best care I possibly can while respecting each of my residents as an individual person, learning their likes and dislikes, and respecting their opinions. One of the questions on here is "What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver?" My answer to that is simple. I enjoy being able to see someone nearly everyday and making them smile,to make them feel respected, to make them feel they've been treated with dignity, and to make their life a little easier by taking some weight off their shoulders.
