Took care of family members when they were sick. This inspired me to become a nurse aide. Work for numerous people who were sick and needed my help which made me feel special. Treat others the way you treat yourself.
What make me a great caregiver is my personality I am a very happy, caring and loving person with patience and a little over 10 years of experience. What attracted me to be a caregiver is wanting to be an assistant to those who can no longer assisted themselves with daily living activities. What I enjoy most about caregiving is the client and just being able to be there to give a helping hand . My personal achievements that I'm proud of is getting my job done each and everyday to the best of my ability.
Hello, I would like to thank you for taking the time to open my profile. I would like to take a few minutes to tell you about myself. I have been careing for family's and their loved ones for over 30 years, must say I love what I do. I take every family that I choose to care for to heart as like a member of my own family. My goal is to make sure my client lives the highest quality of life possible. I know that I am capable, confident responsible and ultimately trustworthy. I have my most experience with cancer patients, stroke patients and Dementia/ Alzheimer patients. I find joy most doing two things for my clients that makes my heart filled with joy, that's caring for them with all my heart, and cooking meals for them that are prepared with the same love. I also have my past families recommendation letters on hand to email to you. I would appreciate it if you can take a moment and read them over to get a good feel of who I am and exactly what I do. Thank you for your time.
My compassion and love for people makes me an exceptional caregiver. I've been in the field for 15 years plus. I became interested in the field caring for my mother whom I lost to Alzheimer's along with other medical complications over 20 years ago. I truly enjoy and love my work, and take pride in caring for my clients.
I have been caregiving for about 7 years. I started off by caring for my grandparents until rested. From high school I went to nursing school and recieved LPN. I am now waiting to take boards to recieve the license. I am currently in school to recieve RN.
Being a mother, I have learned several traits that has allowed me to be great as a caregiver. These traits include patience, compassion, the ability to listen and understand others as well as being able to aid with problem solving. I am interested in being a caregiver because I enjoy being in the company of elderly people. They always have a lot of knowledge to impart on me. As a result, I learn a lot from them. I enjoy being able to help others, learning from them and becoming a friend. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to go to school and earn my degree. Due to my going to school, I was able to learn more about Alzheimer's Disease and obtain a certificate for completing the class. Finally, I was able to graduate with my Associate's Degree in Medical Assistant.

I been doing home health for multiple years because I like helping people and also learning things from the people I take care of. What makes me a good caregiver is my ability to go above and beyond the normal to brighten someone's day and to know that there are people that need and appreciate my help. You have to have patience and a caring attitude some cases are harder than others but in the end its about helping people stay somewhat independent and the need for loving dedicated caregivers are on the rise.
After a career in teaching special education, I am ready for a life change. Last year I was able to moved back home to Pittsburgh from Harrisburg, PA to take care of my mother, who was suffering from COPD, since both of my daughters had graduated from high school and left for college. I was divorced and wanted to return to my family. At first, I looked for another full-time teaching position, but since I missed the beginning of the school year, and maybe my advanced age, I was only able to find work as a substitute teacher. At 55 years old and in this stage of my life, I have decided that I would better be able to help individuals through a one-on-one relationship, rather than a classroom of 25+ children.
My experience taking care of others includes being a mother, daughter, and granddaughter. My mother and I lived with my grandmother until she passed away at 93, taking care of her, so that she would not pass away in a nursing home. Once my grandmother passed away, my mother became so sick, she had to retire at 70, and passed away 6 years later from complications with COPD and heart disease. I spent my summers taking care of my mother, and came home every weekend for years, until she died last year.
When thinking about a career change, I became convinced that I could help myself, and others, by providing companionship and helping with personal care as well as domestic duties. My education is in teaching, rather than medical, so my opportunities are limited. However, I am willing pursue additional professional development to gain the skills needed to help others, as I am helping myself.
My personal achievements that I am most proud of are my grown children. Jeanne, 21, attends Temple University for business, and Jacqueline, 18, attends Penn State for music. I look forward to their futures, but continue to miss the family who raised me. This is why I am seeking employment working as a caregiver.
