I am interested in interviewing for a job as a caregiver because I want be begin pursuing my goal as a client centered nurse that models protection, promotion, and optimization of health for individuals. Academically, my course work at the Pennsylvania College of Health sciences has allowed me to gain an understanding, appreciation, and desire to ease human suffering of all patients. This dedication is echoed in the hours of study I have put in to my nursing career placing me on the Dean’s list every semester with a graduation date in May of 2016. I also have many of my prerequisites completed for my B.S. degree and plan to enter into that program after graduation. I currently have 255 hours of hands on clinical experience. I have my PA child abuse clearance dated 5/13, FBI criminal background check dated 6/3013, and PA criminal background check dated 5/13. I also have my American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers (CPR and AED) program. I have learned many responsibilities of care through personal experience. During my current endeavor to become a registered nurse I encountered unexpected delays when my youngest son developed brain cancer. It was one of the most horrifying experiences of my life but it gave me a crash course in the reality of nursing from the nursing and patient’s points of view.
