About Julie

I love helping people. I have experience mostly taking care of multiple children and disabled children. I do have experience in the clinical setting taking care of adults and elderly. I am a very compassionate person and have experience providing medical care along with assistive care. I just graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Biobehavioral Health, which I am very proud of. The information learned in the major is a combination of biology, psychology and statistics. This degree has educated and prepared me for a range of jobs in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities included shadowing medical doctor Elyann Doebler, who has a specialty in podiatry. This was done in a doctor’s office setting where I was able to learn and observe the day-to-day life of a medical doctor. I was able to see patient interaction and learn the professional etiquette. I also had the opportunity to learn from other attending physicians and medical students in the clinical setting. Currently work online part time as her personal assistant. Responsibilities include using the electronic medical record (EMR) system to help write progress notes for Dr. Doebler’s patients. In the near future Dr. Doebler plans to teach me how to do certain insurance authorizations to help further my skills in the medical field.

I've worked with people for most of my career, helping or teaching in various ways. I enjoy working with and supporting our wiser generation, and the opportunity to build relationships in my work. I would like to have more time to spend with people and that's why I'm changing careers. I have worked with families with children under 3, and now I am interested in providing home-care and assistance. I have served a few seniors in the last year, and they have appreciated my skills, personality and patience. I can also be available with my Handyman skills and lawn maintenance ability to provide all the care one might need in their life and home. Let me know how I can help! -Jeff Young

Hello! My name is Edyn and I am originally from Altoona, PA. I am currently in my senior year of nursing school at IUP and will be graduating in December of 2020. I plan to become a Labor and Delivery nurse one day after graduation. I am very dedicated to this field and I believe I have a very warm heart. I am empathetic and can truly advocate for my client's health and well-being. I care for each of my clients as I would want my own family to be treated. I will show both you and your family that I am respectful, trustworthy, and honest. I decided to become a caregiver as I would like to get more of a foot in the door for my nursing career while building a relationship with my client. I am always available as a companion for your loved one and enjoy having different conversations and keeping spirits high. I have completed clinical rotations in Community/Home Health Nursing and feel as though I gained a lot of knowledge throughout the course that I will apply to the caregiver role. I would be more than happy to complete grocery shopping, bathing, and house cleaning for my client as well. I am also educated on many medications and can provide assistance to my client if needed. Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Edyn
