I enjoy helping others. I am friendly yet professional, caring, honest, dependable, I have integrity. I believe that everyone deserves dignity in their care and I believe that family caregivers also need breaks. It doesn't make one weak to ask for help it makes you stronger. It is an opportunity to recharge your batteries. Caring for children with special needs can also be very taxing on the family unit and they need that moment to recharge. I think my dependability helps me be a great caregiver. I was attracted to caregiving as a young child when my little sister came home from the NICU with a caregiver to assist my mother with her care. Patient interaction is something that I enjoy the most. My proudest achievement thus far aside from my children would be becoming a Nurse.

I am interested in people's history and personal stories. I have raised my child to his now adulthood which taught me to multitask. Others say I am kind and patient. Since marriage to my (late) good husband I helped him through his various episodes of kidney failure since an early age. I am the one of 6 sisters who always lived nearest to my parents. Therefore I was usually the one to help them in their elderly years. As my mother's health declined I learned the importance that she regularly take her medicine. If possible I encourage my clients to get outside for at least a little while. I like to make sure they move around the house & get daily exercise. I notice that degenerative folks need hope, compassion and companionship so they can enjoy the small moments of each day.
