I have been a caregiver and a Medication Aide for the past 17 years, both in facilities and in-home private care, especially with different forms of dementia like Alzheimers, Parkinson and lewy body. After the diagnosis of our mother with Alzheimers, I realized how much care she needed and in return I knew this is what I wanted to do. I am very outgoing I love taking care of the elderly I have a passion for what I do. Making sure they are Happy and getting the care they need and deserve. Treating them with love and respect. My 1st caregiver job was my Aunt that was very sick. I took care of her until the end of life. And then my grandparents. And it just went on from there. And I knew it was my calling. Because I loved what I did. What I like most is the wisdom and conversations of there life the things they did when they were young. It's amazing to sit down vh and just listen and give thembloge and attention. I am most proud of the many Elderly people that I have taken care of and known in the 31+ years I have been a caregiver and I wouldn't change it for anything it taught me a lot. I learned so much from every patient. And that has been my greatest reward and Achievement.

My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. I decided to be a caregiver after my parents where sick, I wanted them to feel loved at all times when someone was caring for them. You have to have patience when caring for someone. I love listening to clients stories from when they were young.
